In my opinion, once I finished this essay, I truly believe that in conclusion, I properly told the story through my test about The Catcher in the Rye. I included plentiful amounts of questions, which involved Holden and his story as a whole. I feel as if, in my test questions, I talked about so many different scenes that happened or quotes that were told, that someone could get the gist of what happened in the book. Not only, do I believe that I told the story in a well manner, but I gained a lot from it also, other than a good grade. I actually got much better at writing pieces like this. I feel like I properly researched from the book , and took out test questions that could maybe be on an actual test. Because I understood that, it means I understand key terms and important facts and scenarios.
This assignment was much better than my previous assignments from the beginning of the year in my opinion. I put a lot more effort and importance into my research, reading and thought. On one of my first assignments, I didn't include good evidence or any quotes what so ever from the book, to say the least, it was horrid. However, now I've included so much detail, evidence form the text, and good word choice.
The way I did my questions was quite different from my peers. I first went through each chapter and I tried to think about the main theme, and how my questions would go along with it. I then, would just write down important parts of the book and turn into a questions with one as the correct answer. I think my work met the standards because of its differing amounts of questions and the variety that made you think about the question, rather than just being able to answer the questions just by reading the book.
However, I feel as if I would have done much better if I had opinions from other people or some tips and help on what questions to throw out and keep in my test. It most likely would have turned out a lot better if we did a peer edit or reflection before we turned or work in, but either way I was proud of how my questions turned out.
